Author's statement: In Cut and Other Trans Fantasies, Al White offers a collection of short pieces describing aer trans-related feelings and experiences, all based around the theme of fantasy, some positive, some negative, some reasonable, some irrational.

In “Cut,” ae outline aer feelings about ae hair. “In the Past” shows how ae have come to reimagine aer past to fit with aer current identity. “Slice” describes one experience of dysphoria. “The Beginning” details aer first inkling that ae might be trans. “Telling” describes anxiety over coming out. Finally, “In the Future” provides an outlook into how variable aer identity can be.
