Author's statement: Digital Humanity is a class about studying the changes brought about by the digital age in the 21st century. This assignment is one of eleven weekly posts to the class website, and it addressed the idea of human algorithms, and human-computer interactions. Instead of just writing a paragraph describing one of my own algorithms, I thought the best way to explain my decision-making process was to have a reader experience it through an algorithm I designed. Using this application called "Twine," I was able to translate the most automated routine (early mornings) into a game-type simulation through my knowledge of HTML and CSS with built-in javascript commands. The text-based experience is written to reflect my thoughts and present choices based on the amount of sleep I've gotten, the weather, the fact I live in PA hall on the hill, and so on. This, in essence, is "My Morning Algorithm."
