"On this episode of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Lady Gaga speaks about the Brett Kavanaugh vs Dr. Ford Debate. I stumbled across this video on Twitter while the whole Kavanaugh issue was going on. I think that everything Gaga states about the debate and sexual assault is very powerful, which is why I chose to caption this video. While speaking, Gaga puts lots of passion and emotion into her little spiel. My goal with captioning this video was to emphasize that passion and the overall importance of what she is saying. Additionally, I wanted to make the captions pleasing to read or look at, unlike the basic white text captions we see on television. I incorporated different techniques, such as using different colors, fonts, italics, and underlines, as well as strategically placing the text with Gaga’s outline and movements."
