Initially when sketching out the project it was done around the idea of “music takes me to my happy place.” Producing is something that means quite a bit to me, and when I’m in the moment it’s as though everything simultaneously comes alive and disappears, if that makes any sense. I wanted to find a way to express that concept visually—hence my juxtaposing times of strife in the black and white segments with times of joyful music projection in color.

I bookended it with the shots of the window in order to convey the journey of a single day. I also chose to start in black and white and end in color to more fully convey the idea that even a day wherein seemingly every bad thing that can happen at any given moment does, life's little annoyances needn’t set you back so long as you can find your happy place.

I shot the semi-absurd situations in the daydreams in order to more fully blur the lines between work and play, fantasy and reality, etc.
