My map, labeled Paranoia, is a visual exploration of London’s green spaces and what makes them so eerie. Riddled with statues, fountains, and other manmade objects, London parks and gardens have an odd combination of things both living and nonliving. While bright leaves and shiny petals move with the breeze, dark pathways and littered trails counteract nature’s excitable breath. On walks through these locations, one can easily spot beauty. The quotes leading each clip are meant to embody someone visiting the location and reacting to its unsettling attributes. The pins are compiled of shots meant to instill paranoia, from swinging branches, moss-covered statues, and other eerie findings. Sound, though not used in every pin, is added/distorted to emphasize creepy and claustrophobic tones at each location. Enter the void...
